šŖ 7x Your ChatGPT Results With One Simple Trick
Why Didn't I Use This Earlier?!
ā Happy Friday SuperMarketers!
Sometimes there are ideas that you kick yourself for not trying earlier.
But the you are happy to discovered them, and the lost time is just a sunk cost.
The strategy shared today is one that will definitely increase your abilities with ChatGPT.
Remember, ChatGPT is becoming āsentientā ā it can see (Iāll cover ChatGPT Vision in the future), it can read, and it can speak. š¤Æ
And that last part unlocks so muchā¦.
š” Strategy: Brainstorm with ChatGPT Voice
Humans can speak 7x faster than typing.
And now that ChatGPT has voice, you can literally have a conversation with it, as you would with typing in.
But you get āa personā speaking back to you.
So it truly is a brainstorming partner! (btw, the voice sounds astoundingly real, apparently they used voice actors to train the voice model)
This also underscores the importance of giving ChatGPT a roleā¦.
Beginning the prompt with the background, expertise, persona that you want it to assume.
It could be a generic role, like ācontent marketing expert with expertise in identifying long tail keyword opportunitiesā.
Or it could be highly specific, like āYou are Elon Musk, a raging narcissist with a penchant for burning money and capturing attentionā š
The point is, you can use ChatGPT Voice to get your ideas out faster, and get responses more quickly.
š Use Case: Find Out What You Donāt Know
There truly are infinite use cases for using ChatGPT voice, because, well, it is ChatGPT.
Itās just a new way to interact.
However, just as speaking is faster than typingā¦reading is faster than listening.
Which means that I find it better to have ChatGPT ask questions, instead of give answers that it has to dictate.
Here are a few ideas to get started with ChatGPT voice:
āļø Content Ideation: Use ChatGPT Voice to brainstorm content ideas. Speak your general topic or theme and receive ideas to flesh out off potential angles or titles for blog posts, videos, newsletters, podcasts, etc.
š„ Customer Persona Building: Create detailed customer personas by dictating customer data into ChatGPT Voice and then it can ask questions and gather information to generate persona summaries that you can use as a marketer.
šµļøāāļø Competitor Analysis: Have ChatGPT Voice summarize competitors' marketing strategies based on data you provide, helping you to quickly understand their positioning and identify gaps in your own strategy.
š¬ Social Media Content: Generate social media post ideas, captions, and responses to comments by using ChatGPT Voice to quickly draft witty, on-brand content.
š¤ Prompt: Ask, Donāt Tell
Like I noted above, ChatGPT Voice is most helpful if it asks questions and probes to identify ideas or angles you didnāt think about.
So itās important to include that in your prompt when initiating your voice conversation.
Hereās how you can do that:
The Prompt:
I want you to help me flesh out ideas that would be helpful to [INSERT YOUR GOAL]
Ask me questions about how to [INSERT YOUR TASK] and help me think through what is most valuable. The goal is to create actionable ideas.
Do not offer suggestions unless asked.
This was the start of the conversation. You can see that ChatGPT starts asking questions to learn more about me and my offer, and my target audience:
Note that ChatGPT Voice is only available for the mobile app, iOS and Android. Youāll see it as the headphones:
š¬Experiment: Be Productive, & Get Exercise
The best thing to do at this point is to take out your phone and test this out!
To get started, you can:
State your specific marketing objective to ChatGPT voice.
For instance, "I want to increase engagement on our social media channels for the Q4 product launch."
Provide Context.
Give ChatGPT Voice context about your brand, target audience, and any other relevant information that could influence the brainstorming, such as "Our audience loves interactive content and has a strong presence on Instagram and TikTok."
Then youāre off to the races! š
š Resources: Use a Simple Framework for Your Prompts
Iāve learned a lot from Rob Lennon via Twitter and his course on AI.
And he shares a lot on Twitter about AI.
One framework that I continue to use is his version of a Mega Prompt, which is here:
This incorporates the main elements of a complete prompt so that you can get the best output. Itās simple, yet comprehensive.
Until next week, stay Super, Marketers.
